This year is the 100-year anniversary of the Kangaroo March and the 10th Anniversary of the Turning Wave Festival.
There will be a reenactment of the march from Wagga Wagga to Sydney and this reenactment will be in Yass on the weekend of the festival. As well as having a concert to commemorate this event their will be marching parades of the light horse and Turning Wave will be providing support by engaging community groups in period costume to attend the the event. You will probably experience music sessions, dance and street theatre as well.
So come and celebrate a bit of history, get involved by dressing in period costume of the time make the weekend of fun, music, song and dance.
Tickets go on sale in June and we will advise more information and events as the time draws near.
