  Spring School of Irish Music - 2010

The Turning Wave Festival and its Spring School of Irish Music is once again offering Master Classes and Pre-Festival Workshops with top Irish tutors.

2010 Master Class Series & Tutors

Master classes are offered for intermediate and experienced musicians and provide a unique opportunity to learn from and interact with some of Irelands best traditional players.  The Master Class Series is modelled after the Willie Clancy Summer School held in Clare each July. We offer participants three mornings of tuition (Wed 15th- Fri 17th Sept: 10am-1pm), followed by forums and sessions in the evenings. Classes culminate in recitals given by the Irish tutors on the Friday evening, marking the start of the festival's weekend events.

Cost of the Master Class Series - 3 days

$80 or $65 with a prepaid weekend ticket.

2010 Pre-Festival Workshops & Presenters

Workshops are suitable for anyone from beginners (instrumentalists must have some basic knowledge of their instrument) to more experienced participants and will run on Wed 15th and Thurs 18th from 2.30-4.30pm.
