Reciter of the Year
Reciter of the Year is awarded for the best performance of a poem (contemporary or traditional). It takes place as part of the two poets breakfasts (Sat & Sun mornings) at the festival and every poet who attends is eligible to enter and there no fee. The competition will be judged by the previous year’s winner. For those who want to take part the rules are simple: 1) You must recite (rather than read) your poem; 2) You may recite whatever you please but the performance must not be longer than 8 mins; 3) the material must be suitable for a general family audience.
